Sea Tow "RETRIEVER" is a 25' Steiger Craft Commercial
Assistance Fast Response Towing & Salvage Vessel. She has
a semi-vee hull with a large open deck space that provides an
extremely stable work platform. The large, easily accessible cabin
forward is great for storing the pumps and salvage gear she carries.
The "RETRIEVER" is a great general
purpose towboat in the Sea Tow Boston Fleet. She consistently
logs hundreds of underway hours annually assisting Sea Tow Members.
This style towboat, like her sister vessels "RESPONDER"
and "RELIANT" is often considered
to be the ideal Assistance Towing vessel style by many professional
towers. It does everything a Fast Response Towboat should do and
does it well.
The "RETRIEVER" joined the Sea Tow
Boston fleet in 1994 as the business expanded. She was the second
full-capability towboat in Sea Tow Boston's fleet. Repowered in
2003, "RETRIEVER" continues to be an extremely prized
asset to the Fleet.
